I happen to have metal framing in my walls and this level will attach its self the with having without spiking wall. It is easy to read, high quality and at an affordable price. The magnetic side is very strong and can double as a stud finder in pinch. With heavy duty magnets one on either side.

The underside has a v groove to work on pipe, and it is equipped with two very strong magnets hold in place as you. I love that it has a very strong magnet so you can stick to your tool box for storage or metal fence post leveling worked great on my new when was installing. Although it will fit in your pocket I find the magnets and v-groove edge to be really helpful. It is a good brand and worth the money.
